Carol Hilker
Carol Hilker is a former chef and culinary teacher who honed her love of cooking as a chef in the San Francisco Bay area during her younger and more impressionable years. She is the author of seven cookbooks, including Mmm Marshmallows, Pie Pops, Chicken Wings, Breakfast for Dinner, Dirty Food and F. Scott Fitzgerald’s Taste of France. Her writing and recipes have been featured in The Chicago Tribune, the Today Show, USA Today and a variety of other local and national publications. While she considers herself too old for the late nights of the professional kitchen these days, her love for food is ingrained in her and she will always consider herself a chef, even if she is currently a special education teacher. Carol currently resides in the south suburbs of Chicago with her fella, Jeremy and her two 15-year old cats, Lola and Lennon. Mac + Cheese is her first book with Harper Collins!
