Crispy Cauli Bites from My First Meals

This August we’re super excited to be publishing My First Meals, the brand new cookbook from Instagram sensation Grace Mortimer! In My First Meals, Grace serves up a host of tasty treats for children, all prepared with five ingredients or less, that prove that cooking for the kids can be a pleasure rather than a chore.

‘These are perfect finger foods and a great way to introduce a little ‘spice’ into a little diet. You can swap the paprika for mild curry powder or leave it out altogether and they are just as tasty. I often serve these as a veggie side dish for Harry, but they make a great snack on their own, too.’

Ingredients

Serves 2

1 handful of chopped cauliflower

1 handful of grated Parmesan (or nutritional yeast)

1 tsp sweet paprika

2 tbsp sunflower oil

Method

1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (180°C fan). Line a baking tray with baking paper.

2. Tumble the cauliflower onto the prepared baking tray and sprinkle over the Parmesan, paprika and oil. Use a spoon to toss the cauliflower pieces to ensure each one is coated in the mixture.

3. Bake for 30 minutes.

4. Remove from the oven and serve.

5. Fine to freeze. Defrost naturally and then pop them in a 200°C (180°C fan) oven on a lined baking tray to reheat.
