Hello, girls-

It’s me. Jenny. 

Yes, you read that right.  It’s really me.  In the flesh. . . so to speak.  I bet you thought you left this chapter of your lives behind you.  But you see, I’ve been here all along.  Watching you.

I see you, you know.  Really see you. I know you think you’ve changed.  That you’re so much better than the girls you used to be.  You hide behind your fancy addresses, your high-flying careers, the picture-perfect families displayed on your annual Christmas cards with the Crest-white smiles.  But I know the truth.  Beneath the shiny veneer of it all, you’re just the same as you’ve always been.

You’ve gotten too comfortable.  All of you.  You’ve stopped paying attention, stopped looking over your shoulders. But, you see, the past has a way of catching up with you, usually when you least expect it. And I’m here to make sure that it does.

I’ll see you real soon.
